The Fierce Freedom Podcast

To some coming to America, there is an almost mythical quality that it will be akin to "coming to heaven." Traffickers use this belief to trap foreign nationals who come to this country to work, only to find themselves coerced into debt bondage.

One study in San Diego found that 30% of undocumented migrant laborers were victims of labor trafficking.

Harold D'Souza, Founder of Eyes Open International and member of the US Advisory Council on Human Trafficking shares what it was like to come over legitimately from India to work in the states only to have it lead to labor trafficking.

Harold explains how he and his family's own uphill battle encouraged him to start EOI which works to cultivate resilience, hope, and freedom in vulnerable populations and give directly to victims of trafficking as well.
